ACS NSW supports adaptation planning around Lake Macquarie
The NSW Branch of ACS has requested publication of an opinion piece by the Newcastle Herald to respond to an article penned by Bob Carter and published on 23 May 2013. The ACS opinion piece seeks to provide a counter to the viewpoint expressed by Mr Carter, and in doing so supports the prudent and important work that Lake Macquarie City Council is undertaking in helping the community adapt to expected long-term changes to coastal flood risk. More about planning for sea level change can be found on the Lake Macquarie City Council website here.
